It's not as easy as you said it was.

Welcome to my world. I try. I really do. I read all of your blogs and the  tutorials that tell me I, too, can do what you've done. I try to tell you that I don't think I can, but you reassure me that it's possible.

So, I saved some jars to paint. I thought I could paint the jar orange, the lid green, and have myself a pumpkin to fill with candy corn. Pretty basic, huh?

Here is my jar on my workbench wheelbarrow, waiting for its spray job. Everything looks better when spray painted, right? That's what all of you say.

See the lids I spray painted tried to paint.

After it dried, I noticed that I had missed some spots, but the can of paint was empty.

No problem. I had another can I could use and this one was specifically for ceramics. That should work better, right? I sprayed another jar.

I'm not sure why I tried a different workbench, but you can see that I moved this jar to the bag of mulch before spraying. Does that look orange to you? Yeah, me neither. Any ideas for a red jar for Christmas?

Do you see the direction the nozzle is pointing in this picture? If I pushed it right now, you would get a face full of paint. How do I know this? Do you really have to ask?

If you look very closely, you will see my patch of orange hair. Yes. I really did point it in the wrong direction and sprayed myself. Fortunately, instinct kicked in and I did close my eyes.

I think I will stick to writing about my Goodwill buys and leave the crafting to the rest of you.
