I think they painted it like that because it was the 4th of July and they (whoever they are) forgot to bring their sketch book. Or perhaps they're a blogger and left their crafting things at home. Whoever did it, it's a pretty nice job ... I guess. heehee
NO idea what they were thinking, but they put a lot of effort into doing it. Don't you wonder at times that such energy could be spent doing something...I don't know, more constructive? LOL Heavens! Who knows. Also...I so approve of your opinion about the scandal going on at Penn State.
America! Love it! In my old neighborhood, someone always painted the fire hydrant in the cutest ways: Santa during Christmas, a Houston Astros player during baseball season, etc.
