Peer Pressure

I tried a few summer projects but I never posted about them. I suppose I can save them for next year. I just hope turquoise is still the color of choice.

I did a table setting for the Fourth of July.

I bought materials to decorate for back to school, but all I managed to make was this wreath.

I bought a chair to redo.

I bought wooden plaques to repurpose into plaques with clever sayings.

I did all of this because I wanted to be like other bloggers. But I can't keep up. This week I'll be with my parents two days, keep Cate one day, spend Saturday in Lane Stadium for the first football game of the season (which means a lot of preparation for tailgating), my son and his girlfriend will be here for the week-end, and Sunday we'll go to Smith Mountain Lake with family.

Let me be honest and remind you that I'm retired and don't have small children at home. How do the rest of you do all these things?

Thank you, RoCa and Co and Pandiola Lane.

I entered this giveaway for Cate, my granddaughter, and also for her Mommy and me.

My prize came from Amanda at Pandiola Lane.

Do you think I'm getting better at waiting? Nope. I just wrapped it back up for the picture.

Don't you just love these little clips? Cate sure did. As a matter of fact, I felt bad when I saw three clips included. The giveaway was for two. The day that Amanda emailed me, I was keeping Cate. She picked out the two pink ones, but I told Amanda I'd take one of the pink ones and then the purple flowered one. (I wanted to see how she made it.) She sent all three. Wasn't that generous of her?

She also a sent a few extras for me my daughter to try to make some.

Thanks, Amanda and Carmen for this giveaway:

Thank you, Mushki Loves.

If you read my post Saturday, then you know I've been very lucky. I've won several giveaways. I haven't blogged about them before.
This package arrived from the mailman. I couldn't wait to open it. As you can see, I took this picture after I ripped that top strip.

I love all the messages in this. The white frame goes well with my collection of three white vases and white lantern that blogland told me I needed this summer.

Isn't this notebook just the cutest thing you've seen? I love the big flower on the front of it.
Imagine my surprise when I opened it and also found this pen. It matches the notebook! Isn't that paper covering the inside of the notebook so pretty?

All of this goodness came from Muski Loves and this giveaway:

Thank you again, Kirsten.
