Goodwill tea set

I found it too late for our Mother's Day tea,
but I was successful finding just what I wanted at Goodwill.
All it takes is patience.
All of this was only $4.95!

There were three cups and saucers.

There was a sugar and creamer.
I wish I had a better camera to show the details.

Look at this sweet tea pot.
Aren't they just the cutest little figures?

Here is what the plates look like.

Cate and I have already had one tea party using this.

Tea with Cate

For Mother's Day, Cate told her mommy that she wanted to have a tea party with Great-granddma and Mimi. Of course, we were thrilled.
Last year the four us went to a tea house.
There was a long wait, and that was hard on both
Great-grandma and Cate.

This year we decided to have the tea party at my house.
I searched Goodwill for a tea set with no luck.
I ended up buying a set of demitasse cups with birds on them.
(I don't have a picture as I wasn't blogging yet and now
they've already been donated back.)

They worked fine for our tea party.
Our "tea" was really water because Cate loves to pour.

After the tea party was over,
Cate enjoyed some special snuggles with Great-grandma.
Those two have a special bond.

Tomorrow I will share pictures of our latest tea set,
found after Mother's Day.
This was the preview to whet your appetite.
(Sort of a pun, too.)
