This is where I
stuffed myself ate yesterday.
When I visit my parents, we always go out for lunch.
My Dad is always looking for a good deal.
Since they eat out one meal a day, he tries to
find a meal between $6 and $10.
To our surprise and delight, there was this new lunch menu at Applebees.
These meals are all you can eat.
I started with the grilled shrimp/spinach salad
and the tomato basil soup.
There were 4 or 5 grilled shrimp that had a great flavor.
Tender spinach, crisp bacon, roasted red peppers, red onions, toasted almonds and hot bacon vinaigrette-all topped with succulent shrimp straight from the grill. You're gonna love it.
The soup had croutons on top.
A bread stick also came with the meal.
Dad had the French onion soup which had lots of cheese
and a chicken caesar salad that had 4 strips of chicken.
Juicy grilled chicken breast atop a bed of crisp romaine lettuce tossed in our garlic Caesar dressing. Topped with challah croutons and shaved Parmesan cheese.
Mom had the French onion soup
and the French dip sliders.
Ooh la la. You'll love these two toasted mini buns piled high with thinly sliced roast beef and Swiss cheese. Dip, dunk or drench 'em with au jus on the side.
She has trouble chewing food, but
the beef was very tender.
I'm not ashamed to tell you that I had a
second shrimp/spinach salad.
I also tried the wonton tacos with pork.
They were good, too.
Applebees doesn't know I'm writing this post.
I just really enjoyed myself.
This is good Mon-Fri during lunch hours.
Let me know if you try this.
