Christmas Nap

Am I ready for Christmas? Not at all. Cate stayed with me today, and there wasn't a bed anywhere in the house that was cleared off for her to take a nap. I told her she could sleep on the couch, and she told me her mommy didn't let her do that at her house. I agreed but told her this would be a special treat at Mimi's house. (You gotta pull out the big guns sometimes, you know?)

I told her she could watch one show, then she would have to lie (lay?) down and try to sleep. She said her mommy let her watch two shows. I agreed as long as she agreed to nap after that.

Since she would be on the couch, I sat across from her to keep an eye on her. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you she was asleep in less than 5 minutes and she didn't move for an hour. I had to take a picture.

Please notice the Christmas pillows at the foot of the couch. They prove I've done some decorating.

LOL...I totally believe you have done some decorating for Christmas. How precious! Grammies are suppose to let their grandchildren get away with things they can't at home. Good job!

That was a tired baby girl! I love how they argue that they're not tired and they need to watch two shows and then fall right to sleep, so precious. Miss those days of sweet snuggles. Thanks for sharing your special day with us.

My grandson naps on my couch, only because the daycare kids are in the bedrooms sleeping. He likes to know I'm close by though....I'm usually sitting here at the computer when he rouses up and yells NANA...once he finds me he curls back up and goes back to sleep. Nothing like it, huh?

Look at that tired little sweet girl!! lol If it makes you feel any better. Because of my series...I only have the tree up and it is half decorated and will stay that way. I also put my village up, because I do that on Thanksgiving weekend. Other than that...I have left the rest in the boxes!!! lol My family doesn't care. Go figure. :) today, I have to get some shopping done. I have done none. Well...that's a lie because a month ago, I bought something off of Etsy for my sis. Other than that. nothing. lol

Sounds like you are enjoying family....and that is what it is all about anyway! :)

She's so sweet. I used to say, you don't have to sleep, but you do need to rest. They always ended up like Cate!
