Climbing a mountain

This is how I feel at the moment:

Look closely and you will see a person on the side of a huge mountain. My mountain is composed of vacation catch up, Christmas decorating, and family obligations.

Oh, and I almost forgot. Hanging over all that stuff is the possibility of jury duty. I've never had it in my 58 years, so I'm interested in serving. But it seriously complicates making appointments for Mom and my responsibilities to them. In hindsight, I probably should have begged hardship.

Did I mention that I'm also trying to read all the wonderful Christmas posts that I missed while I was away? That is seriously hindering taking care of the above mentioned duties/chores.

I hope to post something next week, whether it's pictures from my cruise to the Panama Canal (tempting you to come back, right?) or pictures of my decorating attempts.

Thanks to those of you who have contacted me about my absence. It really does mean a lot to me.

During this time of year it is so easy to get behind and so hard to catch up. Hoping you can find time to just relax and enjoy things. Sending you big hugs. Linda

This saying comes to mind: "Keep Calm and Carry On." Just do what you can do. I was summoned for Jury Duty the week after Thanksgiving but didn't have to report. Thank heavens for that. Try and enjoy the weekend. That mountain isn't moving anytime soon.

I knew that you were taking a blogging break but after a week or so, I started to get worried. I'm glad you're back and I hope you can weed through all the holiday posts!

We have missed you .
However, we know first hand that family, life, etc.. come first.

I have to agree with LindyLouMac..... blog when or if you can .... you should enjoy it, and not feel obligated :)

Hey! Glad you're back! I've missed you and have checked your blog several times although you had said you would be away for quite some time. Hope you can take things one day at a time and don't get too overwhelmed. Haha, I should take that advice for myself right now. Have a good weekend.--------Shannon

Hope all works out as it should and look at you having yet to serve on a jury, I have and my number seems to come up about every year and the process is interesting, but as you say always falls at not the best time! I hope all is okay with you...I've been MIA too, but please know how much I adore your blog and how I feel lucky to have you as a friend in blogland! Sending a few extra smiles your way!

I was just thinking yesterday that I hadn't seen a new post on your blog in a while. I just figured you were like me and busy up to your eyeballs! You have been missed - but we all understand how it is when you get swamped. Hope you are taking a little time to give yourself a break now and then. ♥
