Sound Sleeper

Yep! We slept through this tree (limb) falling on our roof. Our bedroom is at the other end of the house, plus the bedroom door was closed and the fan was on. It was quite a surprise to walk through the house and see branches outside of each window.

This is the tree. It's on the hill behind our house, but it's still on our property. (Maybe I should check those property lines. Nyah, I'll take my neighbor's word for it.)

If you're trying to figure out how the limb changed direction so the end landed on our roof, it actually landed on our stone wall. Then it bounced upward. This could only happen to us.

We're just lucky that the tree didn't come all the way through the dining room ceiling.

We're waiting for the insurance claim. I'll let you know how that turns out.

Oh NO. Did the wind take the branch down? It's always something, isn't it. Hopefully the insurance company will treat you well.

Sorry for your damage.. what a pain.

I glad everyone was okay, (and you lost no sleep over it). hee, hee
There should be no arguments about the claim, it's obvious. Hope all goes smoothly!
Thanks for your visit, you always bring a smile to my face.
Big hugs,

Wow, that was a close call. I can't believe it did that damage to your roof and ceiling. We are having winds today and I don't like them one bit. Glad you are all okay. Patty

Oh my goodness..you are so lucky is right. THose storms are so scary. We had one last May, that woke us up from the winds howling. So many trees went down and we were so lucky none fell on our home too. Glad you are safe.

Oh, gosh, I am glad that you guys are okay. Those fans mask a lot of noise don't they. I never even hear the neighbors fighting when ours is on.

Best of luck with the insurance people ... you might want to get a contractor lined up who is used to dealing with insurance repairs, because the ins. adjusters sometimes "forget" to include things.

Hugs,

Kathy
