I didn't intend to do two posts in one day, but I can't miss Rhoda's
Thrifty Treasures Sunday.
These thrifty finds came from my favorite store - Goodwill.
As a former elementary school teacher, I had to buy this set of
blend dominoes by Ideal. I probably had these in my third grade
classroom back in the day.
Now I think they'll be fun to use with my very smart
almost 4 year old granddaughter.
And if she doesn't think they're fun, then they'll go
back to Goodwill.
Sorry for the glare. How many of you remember these from your childhood?
See that tiny magnet. Use that to move the iron filings around
to give this bald man hair, a mustache, or even a beard.
Original price was $0.25!
It's really true that you can find anything at Goodwill.

I have to be able to laugh at myself. That's not really my picture in the thumbnail if you're visiting from Southern Hospitality. Obviously I misunderstood what I was supposed to write as the name.
I loved that magnetic man when I was little. Kids today still do enjoy magnets, wonder if this would be as much of a hit since it is so low key. I understand that each generation comes of age in a different time, but sometimes, I worry that the pace of life is too fast for our little ones. Just a thought...
Oh, the hours I spent moving the hair and beard around on that little guy! Fun finds! laurie
I love your title. It made me follow immediately!
I totally had one of those magnet men things too . . . and I thought it was genius when I was a kid. What a thrill for 25cents. :)
i have never seen that magnetic game! but it looks fun! hope you had a nice weekend!

Hi G.G. - Thanks for your kind words, and I think it's great that you want to pass that film along. I've watched it two times this morning, and going for a third! ; )
As a mother who homeschooled for 8 years, I love the blend dominoes!!! What a neat find!!
those look like fun! I'll have to remember blend dominoes when I have kids.
I haven't thought about these in years. I remember playing with them when I was a child; they were always so much fun.
Visiting from Charm Bracelet Diva's new party.
It works! :)
