Goodwill Goodies - Part 2

I found this new scrapbook at Goodwill for $0.95. Now I really need to get back in the routine of scrapbooking. Once I start, I usually work on a scrapbook until it's finished. It's the starting part that I find so difficult.

And when I do finally start, removing that ribbon will be the first thing I do. I like the bright colors and geometric pattern.

This summer, I spent too much time rearranging my craft room and not nearly enough time actually working in there. I must confess that sometimes I just stood in the doorway and admired it. (And it doesn't even look as impressive as so many of yours, but I just love it.)

Can you guess what this is?

I'm not sure myself, but I think it must have been a home- made pillowcase. The fabric felt like it had never been washed. There were two of them, and they were extra long with a strange green border. I bought them to use the fabric for a rag wreath. Or I could make a runner out of them since they're so popular right now.

What bargains have you found at Goodwill lately?

Funny story: I had on a Va Tech shirt when I was working in the yard. My neighbor stopped by to chat. He complimented me on my shirt, then he asked me if I bought it at Goodwill. When I told him no, he said he only asked me that because I told him I shopped at Goodwill a lot.

I think I'm to impatient to scrapbook! Perhaps I'm afraid it'll take my life over, but I certainly like the end results!! Thanks for sharing!

I haven't been to Goodwill in awhile but I'm ready to do some fall thrifting! Love that fabric and it will make a cute wreath!

I got 2 down pillows (I'll ditch the outside) for $2.92 each. I often look for them. Don't know why people don't take out the inside before getting rid of the pillow?? Linda

Our GW is hit or miss. That fabric will make a great wreath or runner.

Ah yes, Grammmy, you've got a Goodwill reputation in the neighborhood! I think that could seriously make us sisters, all other asides being non-considerations. Hehehe!

your neighbor knows you shop at Goodwill? But he was a little presumptuous. Haha.. take it as a pure compliment. I like the fabric, can't tell the original purpose of it, possibly a table cloth or something. I like the scrapbook find, very cheery design. You are a funny grammy, I like you! Cuz you make me smile...

I haven't been to a thrift store lately, but I have a free $10 at St. Vincent's and may go soon.

I love to do what you do ... get everything all organized and then go and look at it! I'm new to your blog, do you have a photo of your creative space?

That snowman fabric is darling. You know what I would do with it? I would put fusible web on the back of each one and iron them on to sacks, pillows or little bags. I think that I'll do a post about my quick and easy method soon.

They could also be ornaments.

Take care,

Kathy M.
