Goodwill and Sale #1

I want to be more regular with my posting.
My friend Priscilla at Thrifty Crafty Girl
told me she has a schedule for her posts.
Since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,
I've decided to copy her intent.

 Goodwill finds
Yard sale finds - obviously seasonal
Cate and William
Mom and Dad
Events

I'm still trying to decide what days for each.
For today, I'm going to show my latest Goodwill finds.

Two fall dish towels from Walmart
brand new and
less than half price ~
I enjoy using seasonal dish towels.
 Since they fade pretty quickly,
I can always use new ones.

I liked the design on these two plates and
will probably use them in my craft room.

Aren't these embroidered pillowcases beautiful?
I could tell from the feel of them that they've never been used/washed.

This is a Bama jelly jar/glass with Natasha and Rocky
from the cartoon Rocky and Bullwinkle.

I'm toying with the idea of selling some of my finds on my blog.
(I'm not ready to commit to an Etsy shop.)
The pillowcases and glass are items I would sell.
Any suggestions from you?

What lovely pillow cases...i like the vintage looking plates too. Great finds at goodwill! Reselling is a good idea. I like the thought of buying things i like and finding owners for them. The only problem i have is space to store them...haha. And you get to buy stuff at rock bottom prices at yard sales which are not common here. Btw i haven't moved yet, the new place will not be ready until dec...meanwhile i am working from home and taking a long blog break to refocus. Have a great week Patricia...hope to see you open an online shop soon! Try ebaying.

I love the pillow cases! I have to blog on a schedule. I am usually 2 weeks ahead but, I have slipped and have only been staying one week ahead. i need to get back to the two week schedule. I have been working on creating a little "blog store" because I really need to start getting rid of some of my treasures as well. I hope to introduce it in the Fall.

Well, I sure have missed a lot on here in the past few days! The pillowcases ARE beautiful. I am curious to see what everybody suggests on how to sell and ship off of your blog.

Have a super week!

All sounds great and glad to be seeing more of you, more often. I'm glad one of your days will be devoted to your Mom and Dad.

Hi there. That sounds like a really good idea, to structure your posts like that, and i'm sure it will work very well for you. I just lurch from one post to the other I'm afraid! Quite often desperately trying to come up with some new ideas! I don't blog nearly half as much as I used to do, and most of my bloggy friends seem to be either cutting back, or having a break. I loved all your Goodwill finds.

Beautiful pillowcases! Those would make lovely "pillowcase dresses" - as made by the ladies of my church's Nimble Fingers group. I've got a stack of pillowcases (not as pretty as yours) waiting for me to turn them into dresses...someday. I opened an Etsy shop a couple of weeks ago - with only ONE item to sell. If I can do it, so can you! ;)

PS - You will be mentioned in my blog entry for tomorrow, Wed Aug 15. Watch for it! :D

Thanks for the shout-out! It's easier for me to have a blogging schedule, that way my brain doesn't have to work so hard. :)

I love your Goodwill finds!
