My Deer Neighbors

The Fleeting Deer
by Swapna Dutta

The deer runs fast
With nimble feet
By lucky chance
You may just meet!

Sweet deer, do pause
Beneath the tree-
Won't you please
Make friends with me?

I would love to see a deer in the backyard but it's doubtful here in FL. Although, we do get Babcats, rabbits and turtles!

We were so worried about hitting a deer when we drove across country, we had one near miss...scary!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today:)

I think it would be lovely to live in a place where one saw deer in the yard. Thanks for sharing the pics with us.

Beautiful deer. I love spotting these fellows in my in-laws back yard. I worry when I spot them in our own (we live too close to the city).

Love seeing them even though they eat my plants. I could never hunt them.

Just saw your post after reading one on a fellow blogger's about how a man (think it was in MN) wrestled with a deer that refused to leave his yard. Sadly, the man shot the deer and was pretty bruised up himself after the altercation. Hope your deer are good neighbors.

I think deer are so lovely. One walked in front of our car when we were driving home tonight.

We see deer often and yet I never tire of it. Great photos and I love the poem. I have not heard it before.
Hugs,
