I'm in.

Vicki at The Tapestry of Life has a "writing" party, and I want to attend. There's an invitation for you, too. Check it out here:
http://vickijf.blogspot.com/2011/10/coffee-klatch-friday-welcome-to-3rd.html

List 10 random things you have never done:

1. Been to China.  My son, brother, sister-in-law, and father have.

2. Smoked a cigarette ~ or anything else, for that matter.

3. Broken a bone - knock on wood.

4. Taken out a loan by myself.

5. Lived on my own. I went from college roommates, back home,   then married.

6. Waited tables. I don't know why I wanted to, but it seems like a rite of passage for women my age.

7. Learned to ride a bike. This is a big regret of mine.

8. Seen an animal give birth - only me. My parents sheltered me.

9. Went to camp as a camper, only as a counselor when I was 20.

10. Had a tattoo - sorry, I couldn't think of anything else.

Share something I do to prepare for the change in weather:

First, I dig out the boxes with the fall/Halloween decorations so I can decorate the house. I didn't do a lot this year, and the box is still hanging out upstairs - its contents strewn all over. I just never quite got in the mood. When no one ever comes to your house, you sort of lose the incentive.
Second, I pack up my summer clothes and unpack the long sleeved shirts and sweaters. (That's another tote.)
Third, I start raking leaves. I usually finish by April! Really not kidding there either.
Fourth, I start thinking about Thanksgiving and the family getting together at my house. That's the best!

I tried smoking once: stuck the burning end in my mouth (does it need explaining I was a bit sozzled at that point?). My colleagues didn't think that a good idea and took the cigarette away from me again. I did eat cigarette ends when I was about three though. A whole ashtray full of them ended up in my stomach and then on the floor!

Oh boy, I don't make the list on a few of those LOL!~ But that's OK, makes me who I am, just like you...I loved you shared. If they had a what you did writing prompt, I would probably get kicked out of blog land..LOL!~ Just kidding. Enjoy the weekend.

My mother MADE me smoke one of her cigarettes when I was 12. I choked and choked and choked....never touched another one. Smart lady, my mother! ;)

Wow - you and I have a lot in common, Grammy! Except that I have waited tables (a few years - it's not too bad, tips are nice, dirty old men are NOT), seen numerous animals give birth (assisted with several - had to reach inside for a couple of breech puppies, cut apart twisted umbilical cords on 5 kittens stuck together), and gone to camp (MANY times as a kid!). Oh, and I can ride a bike - but have never learned to ride a motorcycle by myself, so that's pretty close. ha ha!

Wow! Out of those, I have never been to China, had a broken bone or a tattoo.

Glad that you enjoyed Bill Cosby. I've always thought that he was great too.
