I always have that twinge of hope that there will be a treasure in my goodwill finds...you never know....

What a pleasant surprise.
I am sure Goodwill are learning too and will be googling artists names before slapping $9. price tags on them.
Who knows perhaps they do not have the staff and bargains will prevail.

A great post

Haha, I so wish that was me ... or at least you ;) and that you shared it 50/50 with me! Can you imagine that lady finding that?!?!

WOW is right! My best was a diamond ring at auction. I paid $150 for it and it appraised at $2000!

I went to our local thrift store today and I'm pretty sure the items I brought home were not that valuable. I got some vintage linens which I love. Some people have all the luck, don't they? ---------- Shannon

I love thrift stores...especially Goodwill. I once found some signed photographs by a local photographer for $3 at the local St. Vincent DePaul. They were worth over $50 each at least, I was told by another photographer. They are really beautiful photographs so I have them in my home...didn't resell them or anything. This lady in the article really scored big! I love thrift stores -- in fact I am planning a trip to our local Savers tomorrow....30% off day!

Hit the jackpot, which is awesome, but bleck that sure is a UGLY painting, haha.

Never did modern art much, but love the big score.

Thanks, Grammy.
