Sometimes going green isn't a good thing.

Sometimes going green isn't a good thing.

I don't think the boards of our deck should look like this.

My backyard is shaded, so I know that doesn't help. Hubby doesn't plan on cutting down any trees, plus I think there actually on our neighbors' property.

At our old house, we had a little of this on our driveway. I think I poured bleach on it. I'm afraid if I don that here, the bleach will remove the stain on these boards. Any advice on how to get rid of the green?

Hi....honey, I just received your email. Blogger will not let me reply, I have no idea what is up with them.

Anyway, I don't even know what a no reply blogger is....yikes.

You are NEVER bothering me.

Have a blessed weekend.

If it is mold you can buy a liquid at the hardware store to clean with...we power wash our patio, porches, driveway yearly as we have so much shade and mold loves to grow....I hate it.

Hi Grammy. I think Diana's suggestion is probably best, that you can hopefully get some liquid to remove that green stuff! I'm afraid that if you power wash it, you might take off the colour wash.

We used to power wash every year, until we found this product called Olympic Deck wash. It is fabulous. Just spray it on and wash off with a hose.
You can get it at Lowe's.
We use it on our deck and wrap around porch, makes it look brand new. You can use it on bricks and siding too.
